What do you understand by fertility?
Fertility is ability to have offspring. Not all people possess the capacity of the same degree. Some can become parent every other year, some after two or three years and some never become parents at all.
How long female remain productive?
Average female remain productive from puberty to menopause. Just after starting of menstrual cycle certain girls remain non productive because for a few months ova are not being released. This period is known as adolescent sterility and may vary from a few months to 1-2 years.
What are the factors influencing fertility?
Both hereditary and environmental factors affect on fertility. Domestic animals breed faster than wild animals of the same species. Wild animals incaptivity don't breed at all. Eighty percent children are born to females between the age group of twenty to 35 years. After stopping of menstrual cycle female cannot bear child.
Male becomes fertile as soon as he starts ejaculating semen and reaches its peak efficiency between 20 to 30 years of age. His fertility lasts much later in life than woman.
When marriage is regarded as infertile?
Sterility is of two types, primary and secondary. If after marriage wife does not become pregnant within 3 years even after unprotected frequent intercourses, case may be labelled as of primary sterility.
Is this the fault of female that she does not become pregnant?
Formerly it was the woman who was nearly always considered responsible fur a sterile mating and even today in certain culture she is to be blamed. In some countries sterility is a cause for divorce.
What are the causes of infertility in males?
The function of male penis is to deposit active and healthy spermatozoa at the entrance of uterus. Hence if male partner is having some malformation of penis or suffering from premature ejaculation or if spermatozoa are defective in quality and quantity his wife will not conceive.
